By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

    1. Data We Collect

    • Booking and payment details: selected programmes, lesson times, transaction information
    • Messages and feedback: enquiries, support requests, survey responses and other content you submit

    b) Data collected automatically

When you use the Services, we may automatically collect:

    • Device and technical data (e.g. device model, operating system version, app version, language)
    • Log and usage data (e.g. IP address, pages or screens viewed, buttons tapped, crash logs, time and date of access)

Our website may also use cookies or similar technologies for essential operation and basic analytics. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

    c) Data from third parties

We may receive limited personal data from:

    • Payment and communications providers (e.g. to confirm payments or deliver messages)
    • Education partners or centres that work with Matrix Math

    2. How We Use Your Data

    We use personal data to:

    • Provide and operate the Services (create and manage accounts, enrol students, handle bookings, attendance and progress)
    • Communicate with you (confirmations, reminders, changes to classes, billing, support)
    • Improve our content, curriculum, website and App (analytics, debugging, service improvements)
    • Send you optional marketing about our programmes and updates (you can opt out at any time)
    • Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights, users and the public

We handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) where it applies.

    3. Analytics, Cookies and Tracking

We use analytics and crash-reporting tools to understand how the Services are used and to improve stability and performance.

We do not use your data to:

    • track you across other companies’ apps or websites for targeted advertising, or
    • share your personal data with data brokers.

If we ever intend to use your data for such tracking in the future, we will first request your permission in line with applicable laws and platform rules, and only proceed if you allow it.

    4. How We Share Your Data

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share personal data with:

    • Service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g. hosting and cloud storage, payment processors, email/SMS/WhatsApp services, analytics and crash reporting, IT/security). They may use the data only to provide services to us and must protect it appropriately.

    • Matrix Math centres and partners where necessary to manage enrolment, classes and student support.

    • Authorities or other parties where required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety or security.

    • Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition or similar business transaction, where permitted by law.

    5. Storage and Retention

Personal data may be stored on servers in Singapore and/or other countries where our service providers operate. Where personal data is transferred outside Singapore, we take steps to ensure a comparable level of protection as required by law.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to:

    • provide the Services,
    • meet legal, regulatory, tax and accounting obligations, and
    • resolve disputes and enforce our rights.

When personal data is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to anonymise or securely delete it.

    6. Your Rights and Choices (Including Account Deletion)

Subject to applicable law, you may:

    • request access to the personal data we hold about you;
    • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
    • withdraw consent to our use or disclosure of your personal data (which may affect our ability to provide some Services); and
    • request deletion of your personal data where there is no legal or business need for us to keep it.

You can exercise these rights by emailing [email protected]. We may ask for information to verify your identity.

Marketing: You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by using the unsubscribe option in our messages or by contacting us. You may still receive important service messages (for example, billing or lesson reminders).

    Account Deletion:
If you create an account, you can initiate deletion of your account directly from within the App via the “Delete Account” option in your account menu:

    • When you do this, we will delete your account and the personal data linked to it that we are not legally or operationally required to keep (for example, for tax or accounting purposes).

    • You do not need to call or email us to complete account deletion, although you may contact us if you need assistance.

You can also manage App permissions (for example, notifications) in your device settings.

    7. Children’s Data

The Services are intended to be used by parents/guardians and authorised staff on behalf of students.

Student data is usually provided by a parent/guardian or an educational organisation. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts or enter into contracts on their own.

If you believe your child has provided personal data directly to us without your consent, please contact [email protected] and we will review and, where appropriate, delete such data.

    8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, use or disclosure (for example, access controls, encryption where appropriate, and system monitoring).

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account details and passwords confidential.

    9. Third-Party Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.

    10. Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on www.matrixmath.sg and/or in the App with a revised “Last updated” date. Where required by law, we will notify you and/or seek your consent to material changes.

If you have any questions, concerns or requests about this Privacy Policy or our handling of personal data, please contact:
