Our centre is on level 3 of Alexandra Central, along Alexandra Road. It is convenient for families in Queenstown, Redhill, Alexandra, Commonwealth, Tanglin Halt and Bukit Merah. Parents from these areas come to us for preschool math enrichment in K1 and K2, primary and PSLE math tuition from P1 to P6, and secondary math tuition from Sec 1 to Sec 4.

Our preschool math enrichment starts every child with a diagnostic assessment, so we can see what they already know and where the gaps are. Lessons then build number sense, reasoning and the confidence to start Primary 1 Math well.

In primary math tuition, each topic is broken into clear steps, practised with guidance, then built up to multi-step and non-routine questions. Children learn why a method works, not just which steps to copy.

PSLE math tuition adds speed and accuracy, careful reading of each question, and a plan for managing time in the paper.

Secondary math tuition, Sec 1 to Sec 4

Secondary math tuition makes algebra a solid foundation from Sec 1, then trains students to choose and apply the right method, with separate E Math and A Math classes in Sec 3 and Sec 4.

How every lesson runs

The Matrix Method has been refined since 2008 and is the method taught across Matrix Math® centres in Singapore. At Queenstown, every lesson follows the same four steps.

  1. Concept, with reasons

    The teacher introduces the idea and explains why it works, before any practice starts.

  2. Guided examples

    The class works through examples together, one step at a time, with the teacher checking each child.

  3. Practice that steps up

    Questions get harder in small steps, so children build accuracy before speed.

  4. Exam-style questions

    Each lesson ends with the kind of questions your child will see in school tests and exams.

Small classes

Most primary classes have 6 regular students and most secondary classes have 8, so the teacher can check every child’s working, not just their answers.

Same order as school

Topics follow the MOE syllabus in the sequence your child meets them in school, so each lesson supports what is happening in class.

Classes keep 1 or 2 seats free for students making up a missed lesson, so falling sick does not mean falling behind.
