Our preschool math enrichment starts every child with a diagnostic assessment, so we can see what they already know and where the gaps are. Lessons then build number sense, reasoning and the confidence to start Primary 1 Math well.

How every lesson runs
The Matrix Method has been refined since 2008 and is the method taught across Matrix Math® centres in Singapore. At Toa Payoh, every lesson follows the same four steps.
Concept, with reasons
The teacher introduces the idea and explains why it works, before any practice starts.
Guided examples
The class works through examples together, one step at a time, with the teacher checking each child.
Practice that steps up
Questions get harder in small steps, so children build accuracy before speed.
Exam-style questions
Each lesson ends with the kind of questions your child will see in school tests and exams.
